College, Marietta, Ga., 1978-81; Dr. Pollack was graduated cum laude and
received awards in clinical proficiency. He also was a member of the college
basketball and tennis teams.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Tall Pines Chiropractic Center, New Brunswick,
N.J., the largest center of its kind in the state, 1981-82.
Dr. Pollack also was on staff at a chiropractic
center in Lakewood, N.J. before opening his own practice in 1983 in Beachwood,
N.J. where he is director of this large volume, multi-doctor clinic.
In January 1996 Dr. Pollack became certified
as one of the first 100 certified chiropractic pediatric physicians in
the U.S. He also co-directs the Beachwood Low Back Center with the Beachwood
Neurology Group, where they have successfully treated over 800 patients
for lumbar spine disc disorders non-surgically utilizing the state of the
art Vax-D table.
Dr. Pollack also was a contributing chiropractic
management consultant for Singer Chiropractic Management Consultants, and
as a keynote speaker, trained thousands of colleagues.
SEMINARS AND ORGANIZATIONS:
Dr. Pollack completed post-graduate seminars
in sports injuries and Dr. Cox’s specialized low back technique. He has
completed more than 300 hours of Applied Kinesiology training and hundreds
of seminar hours in scoliosis, activator methods, pediatrics, orthopedics
and others.
SEMINAR AND TEACHING HISTORY:
Lenape Valley Teaching Convention, Emory
University Dental School; Georgian Court College, Lakewood, N.J.
Lacey, Manchester and Dover Townships,
N.J., Adults Schools; Stress Lectures for the police departments in the
New Jersey towns of Manchester, Berkeley and Dover; ergonomic studies for
local police department and small businesses.
Dr. Pollack has lectured for a wide variety
of groups and organizations, men’s and women’s senior citizen clubs, Veterans
of Foreign Wars, Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks, Moose, Eastern Star, Fit for Life
(a national aerobics seminar), and he was the contract speaker for the
GPU nuclear plants. He is a frequent guest speaker at area schools from
elementary to college level.
His lecture topics include: Chiropractic,
Holistic Health, Stress, Exercise, Diet and Nutrition, Scoliosis, Health
Management for the Elderly, Health Management for
Children; Self Esteem and Drug Awareness.
Dr. Pollack was asked to be a citizen ambassador
for People to People International, a non-political, private-sector organization
dedicated to promoting international understanding of Chiropractic. He
has given successful Back School and Ergonomic Studies to Toms River Super
Foodtown, Beachwood Police Department and GPU Nuclear Plant. These courses
reduced work loss time, inquiries and provided employees with a sense of
employer concern. Dr. Pollack has been awarded the Gold Ambassador Award
by Life Chiropractic College for his support in college recruiting.
Dr. Pollack was the Chiropractic Representative
for both Beachwood and Manchester Township.
Dr. Pollack also presents a Touch for Health
course, which is a self-healing program for the lay-person.
“The reason I enjoy and emphasize teaching
is because, by definition, the word doctor means teacher. 1 feel there
is a great need for fulfilling this definition.” Dr. Pollack
COMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Sponsor and coach of minor league baseball
team, this year he donated a scoreboard for the Beachwood/Pine Beach Little
League. Volunteer in the Friends program of the N.J. Division of Youth
and Family Services, a program that is similar to the nationally known
Big Brothers Organization.
Dr. Pollack frequently donates his time
for posture and scoliosis screenings. A particularly noteworthy example
is the screening he conducted in 1984 at the Ocean County Fair during which
he screened more than 500 people in five days.
In February of 1996, he received the Outstanding
Young Award by the New Jersey Jaycees. A prestigious award for outstanding
service to the community.
As an applied kinesiologist., Dr. Pollack
attracts to his practice many athletes and children. A good percentage
of his patients, in fact, are exercise teachers, dance teachers, professional
musicians, weight lifters, marathon runners and triathion participants.
