CHIROPRACTORS HELP WOMEN WITH FEMALE DISORDERS

Q: Can chiropractic help with my symptoms?  I suffer with every menstrual cycle. I get bloated, cramping, severe mood swings and crankiness as well as low back pain.

A:  Chiropractic has shown to be effective in minimizing if not eliminating many of your types of symptoms related to menstruation.  Many women suffer with similar symptoms and have been under the misunderstanding that these symptoms are normal. These symptoms are

not normal.

Many pregnant patients with a variety of these symptoms also seek chiropractic care.  Pregnancy and menstruation cycle are two of the most important health matters for women. Pregnancy and it’s recovery, pain during the menstrual period (dysmennorrhea), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and chronic pelvic pain are four of the most distressing conditions that are unique to the female body that chiropractic can help you with.

Chiropractors educate women in diet, nutrition, weight loss, methods for maintaining wellness and general fitness.  More importantly, chiropractors use gentle procedures and have a caring interaction with the concerns a woman has during these periods of their life.

Adjustments to specific misaligned vertebra (subluxation) will allow for proper nerve supply to improperly functioning tissue.  A common area of subluxation for women with menstrual problems is the lumbo-sacral and sacroiliac regions.  These areas send direct nerve supply to the reproductive tissue and effect the glands, which effect normal balance.

The correction of subluxations is the specialty of chiropractors.  A thorough history, complete examination and diagnostic testing which may include X-rays can detect the cause of your problem.

My advice is not to hesitate in getting an evaluation since so much success has been revealed for your condition.
